Bayberry Skilled Nursing & Healthcare Center in Concord, CA Launches Special Treatment Program
Generations Healthcare is excited to announce the launch of a new behavioral health program at Bayberry Skilled Nursing & Healthcare Center in Concord, CA. This new special treatment program (STP) focuses on treating individuals who are dealing with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or other mental disorders and are unable to live independently. The secure behavioral health unit houses 40 beds in a beautiful, well-kept facility with friendly staff and will be Generations’ eighth STP in California.
As of 2022, nearly 50 million adults in the United States struggle with a mental illness. For those contending with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, the hurdles to independent living and community involvement are significant. Many individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder face difficulties in maintaining independent living and stable employment. Bayberry’s STP not only addresses the management of mental health conditions but is also dedicated to facilitating patients’ reintegration into their communities and eventual independent living. The facility is unique in providing dual-service levels, addressing both mental health and medical needs, and extending its care to adult patients of all ages.
At the heart of Generations Healthcare’s mission is the commitment to providing patient care with kindness, competence, and compassion. This commitment is especially crucial in the special treatment program, where patients often face a history of trauma, self-neglect, or unstable living conditions. Bayberry promises a supportive staff in a renovated facility that mirrors the warmth of a home environment. Patients in the secured unit enjoy spacious, well-furnished rooms, communal areas with televisions, and access to both indoor and outdoor recreational spaces.
“These services can be life-changing for patients,” says Prabjot Kaur Dhaddey, administrator at Bayberry Skilled Nursing & Healthcare Center. “Helping them to heal is a special privilege and responsibility for our staff members. We are proud to offer compassionate care to these patients and be a part of their journey to recovery.”
